Linda Stirling Unmasked: The Black Whip

AGORA
: Dragged from her chariot by a mob of fanatical vigilante Christian monks, the revered astronomer was stripped naked, skinned to her bones with sharp oyster shells, stoned and burned alive as possibly the first executed witch in history. A kind of purge that was apparently big business back then.

  1. For me, Silent Light is one of the best films ever made.

The use of film to speak louder than words has never been more effectively used. The modern stove in juxtaposition to the ancient way of life is brilliant and the rituals that seem so out of date in a setting informed on by new technology is both painful and beautiful in an intimately human way.
This film is a work of art worthy of the highest praise. I hope it becomes a cult film seen over and over again.
    Don't miss it!
